So, no weekly round-up last week, not because I forgot, but because I was on vacation–however, it was the crappiest vacation ever. I ran my car over a hidden curb in the dark the first night, and it needed repairs, and we couldn’t get a rental car, and Aaron got sick, and basically it was the pits, so I don’t want to talk about it. It was way more stressful than my regular life, which is not the point of vacations. Grr.
Anyway, so that’s not what I need your help with.
Okay, so I’m writing a sequel to The Killing Moon called Bad Moon Rising, and I’d like to be able to promote The Killing Moon when the new book comes out, but all the places that I can pay to have advertising won’t take a book with only four reviews.
So… what I want is more reviews. I’d like them to be honest reviews, of course, so feel free to slam the book if you hate it. I promise not to get mad at you. Pinky swear! (grin)
Anyway, here’s what I’m proposing. I give you a free ebook with the understanding that you will write a review for the book–on Amazon and Goodreads (and anywhere else you’d like to cross-post it.) To try to make sure that the people I give these books to are people who actually do write reviews, I’m requiring that you have reviewed at least one of my books before (on Amazon or Goodreads).
Why should you even want to read The Killing Moon? A-It’s got Cole Randall, probably the sexiest, most complicated male lead I’ve ever created. He’s twisted. He’s cocky. He’s devoted to Dana. I’d call him “Jason 2.0.” B-It’s got werewolves. And werewolves are this awesome metaphor for nature vs. civilization (or chaos vs. order, which is like my favorite theme ever.) Plus… werewolves are sexy.
