This is a little post to talk about everything that’s happened thus far in Helicon. Contains SPOILERS!!, so only keep reading if you’ve already read the series, and just want a quick refresher.
NORA SPARROW: The main protagonist of the stories. When she arrived in Helicon she was dating OWEN ASHER. But he turned out to be a creep, so Nora dumped him, and he got exiled from Helicon for all his misdeeds.
Then Nora started up with AGLER THORN, an older muse who hangs out in the philosophy enclave. But things didn’t end up working out between them, and Nora eventually fell for SAWYER SNOW, which is where we find her when the story opens.
MADDIE SALT: Nora’s best friend, who has struggled with her weight and with anorexia. In the first book, it seemed that Maddie would never find a boyfriend, and she had very low self-esteem about it. But then she met DARYL, who became her first boyfriend. Unfortunately, it turned out that Daryl was working for Owen and only pretending to like Maddie in order to spy on the gang. But then Daryl’s feelings changed. He saved Maddie from Owen, enraging Owen, and getting Daryl sent off to another dimension.
The next year, Maddie started a relationship with AGLER THORN when they had absolutely horrible drunken sex at May Day.
SAWYER SNOW: Confused about his gender and his sexual orientation, Sawyer identifies as an androgyne, an individual neither male nor female. He is also bisexual. His first boyfriend was JACK BEECH, who became frustrated because Sawyer wasn’t ready to be physical. Jack assumed this was because Sawyer wasn’t actually gay.
Sawyer had always found himself attracted to NORA SPARROW, and so he eventually pursued her, and they began dating. In the third book, Come Together, the two lose their virginity to each other.
